A
typical home inspection includes the following:
•
Structural and Basement
• Heating and Cooling
• Plumbing and Bathrooms
• Electrical and Kitchen
• Interior and Attic
• Roofing System and Exterior
• Ground
• Summary
Inspections take approximately 3 hours. We ask that you accompany us
during the inspection so your questions and concerns will be addressed. Our
goal is to communicate the report to you in easy-to-understand language,
so at the end of the inspection, you will have a good overview of the
condition of the home through the report you will receive.
Synthetic Stucco (EIFS)
If
you own or are considering purchasing a synthetic stucco (Dryvit®,
Senergy®, and Sto®) house, we strongly urge you to have a moisture
analysis inspection by a certified third party EIFS inspector such as
Home Sweet Home Inspection Company.
EIFS
inspections include:
•
A moisture analysis using a non-penetrating moisture meter, and with
written consent, a probe-type moisture meter that gives us a digital
readout of the exact moisture content of the wood substrate, and therefore
a more accurate test.
• A written report based on the condition of the EIFS at the time
of the inspection (in most cases, the report will be e-mailed to you
within 24 hours).
• Photographs showing specific deficiencies of the EIFS using
the standards of the EIFS Industry Members Association, the Exterior
Design Institute's training course, and accepted building practices
and installation techniques.
